As you already know my name is Paige, and I have been living in Florida for the past seven years. I grew up in Pine Mountain, Georgia and moved here when I was eighteen. My life has taken lots of twists and turns, but everything and everyone has brought me where I am today. And I love my life! I met Cody in October of 2011, and I was instantly smitten :) We loved spending time with each other, getting to know each other. Then something happened that we did not expect at all. We found out we were expecting a little bundle of joy! We were shocked, but after the shock wore off, we were both very excited! We were met with both kindness and hostility about having a baby. We just focused on preparing for our baby and looked forward to meeting him.
On August 10, 2012 we welcomed our little boy into the world. His name is Christian Michael Henderson and is my greatest gift ever! He brings so much joy into our lives and is such a precious little boy! He laughs and smiles every day, rarely ever crying. Only times he really gets upset is if I don't pick him up quick enough or he is hungry. He is so content and happy! I love him with all my heart and I'm so grateful God gave him to Cody and me.
Well, that is a little background history on our family. I will go into further details in future posts. But right now I want to post about my day today. When I decided today to start blogging again, I took lots of pictures and a video. Even though nothing "special" happened today, I am going to tell you all about it haha :) That is though what my blog is about :)
We started our day off at 8:30 with a breakfast of homemade pigs in a blanket and Checker's fries haha. Weird combination, I know lol. Christian woke up around 9:30 I believe it was. Usually I would do some laundry, but today was overcast so I knew the clothes would not dry so I didn't even attempt to do laundry today. We hang up our clothes on a clothes line to dry to save money so on days like this, can't do laundry. Although I did have quite a pile in the bedroom that I did the other day that I never got around to folding.
Around lunch Cody went to go see a friend right down the road. So Christian and I watched videos on youtube for awhile, and then we went on a walk. Sometimes I get restless and just need to get out of the house so I walk. I carry him in the Mei Tai carrier and we walk down our road. He always ends up falling asleep from the slight rocking of me walking. It was a very windy walk today since a storm was on it's way, so I didn't go as far as I usually do. Shortly after we came back home, Cody came back also which made me happy. I know this sounds weird, but I love being with Cody. It feels so weird to be separated from him even for a short time. We do everything together and I love that. I love the love Cody and I have for each other. It's definitely a love I have never experienced before, and I'm so blessed to have it.
Cody decided to lay down on the couch and watch TV, but just like always he can't stay awake to finish a show lol. Only way he can watch a whole show is to sit up and even then sometimes he falls asleep :) It must be something about this couch haha. After he fell asleep I finally tackled the pile of clothes that needed to be folded. I sat Christian up on the bed with the boppy pillow and gave him a toy and he stayed content while I folded clothes. I also put supper in the crock pot which was Ranch Pork chops I found on Pinterest. I love love love that site! I have found so many wonderful recipes on there and continue to all the time. Later on I also made homemade mashed potatoes and pan fried squash & onions. Yum if I say so myself! :)
As I was cooking supper, the storm came! Wind like crazy, some lightening & thunder and rain. I was very thankful to have a roof over my head! :) We were afraid the power might go out but thankfully it didn't. It was a quick storm, it went away as quickly as it came. We ate supper and always after I eat Christian has to eat. So I always nurse him after supper and then he takes a nap. As I am typing this on the couch, he is sitting with Cody beside watching TV. He gets so intrigued with the TV, but it doesn't hold his attention for very long. I tried to lay him down on some blankets on the floor but he would much rather be held :)
Well, I have still not washed the supper dishes so I need to go get that done. And then it will be time to feed my hungry little boy again :) I hope everyone has stayed dry today and I wish you all a very good night! See ya next time!
